Apple Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue revealed that the company is 'completely all-in' on original content in a SXSW interview with Dylan Byers.

Axios reporter Sara Fischer tweeted some tidbits from the interview.

@cue to @DylanByers on why he maybe wouldn't buy Netflix: "We're completely all-in. We're not after quantity, we're after quality ... You need to have a great story."

Cue says that he was looking for someone to head up original content efforts for two years until hiring former Sony executives Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht.

"We don't know anything about making television. We dont really know how to create shows. We were cognizant of that. I was looking for someone to head this up for more than two years...We were very lucky to hire two executives...We have about 40 people now,"

When asked about Sports TV, Cue said Apple is planning to work with Amazon, CBS, and ESPN.

"One of the things we want to do is make the whole sports viewing experience change. I want to get an alert when the Duke game starts to remind me when it's there..."Why am I not getting notified?" (when there's a close game I care about.)

"We think there's a huge opp to grow all things in sports ... and well do it with Amazon, as well as well so with CBS and ESPN."
