Netflix has confirmed that it won't be part of Apple's upcoming video service, reports Recode.

Apple is widely expected to unveil a video service next week that will work similar to Amazon Prime with original content and the ability to subscribe to third party services.

“Apple’s a great company. We want to have people watch our shows on our services,” Hastings said at a press event Monday in Los Angeles.

It's not surprising that Netflix doesn't want to work with Apple. It hasn't signed on to the company's TV app and recently stopped selling subscriptions via the App Store. Asked about that move, Netflix content head Ted Sarandos said Apple hadn't been an important revenue source.
