Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Release Candidate to developers ahead of its special event on November 10.

Run the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility to download the latest macOS beta. As new macOS betas become available you will receive a notification and can install them from the Software Update pane in System Preferences.

macOS Big Sur introduces a major redesign to Apple's desktop operating system that brings it more in line with iOS and iPadOS. There are also numerous updates to Safari, Messages, Maps, and more. You can learn more about what's new by clicking here.

Developers can download the Beta Access Utility from the link below. It's likely that we'll see macOS Big Sur released just following the 'One More Thing' event on November 10th, perhaps in time for the arrival of the 5G iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini on November 13th. Apple is expected to announce three new MacBooks with Apple Silicon at event as part of its transition away from Intel.
