Pricing for the rumored 13-inch Retain Display MacBook Pro will start around $1699, reports 9to5Mac.

We’ve now received pricing information on the base model and the “best” model. Based on wholesale prices we’ve received, we believe the entry model 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will cost roughly $1699 at launch while the higher spec model will cost $200-300 more.

Supplies are expected to be constrained at launch similar to the launch of the 15-inch Retina Display MacBook Pro.

The display will like have a resolution of 2560×1600, double the typical 1280x800 resolution.

Apple is expected to unveil the new 13-inch Retina Display MacBook Pro at its October 23rd event, alongside a new iPad mini, updated Mac minis, and updated iMacs.
