Ciccarese Design has released a new iPhone concept that features a curved display and fingerprint scanner.

This is iPhone Fingerprint Scanner, the result of the recent rumors. Such as the latest Apple products, in this iPhone there is a big chamfer on the front face. The screen is curved and the fingerprint sensor take the place of the Home button. Black & Slate or White & Silver are the colors. The video show you concept sketch, design details and some general rendering.

Take a look at the video and photos and let us know what you think of the design in the comments!

Apple is widely rumored to be integrating a fingerprint scanner into its next generation iPhone. The technology is said to be based on the company's acquisition of Authentec. Currently, the 'iPhone 5S' is expected this fall.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like the Magic Mouse?

I still can't comprehend the point of having a curved screen...

I actually think that's kind of ugly. Looks like those Jitterbug phones that they advertise for the elderly.

As if people dont already have an issue with their cheek touching the screen, now the phone will rock back and forth on the side of your face.... i agree with "Sami"

Impractical design. What are cases going to look like? If you drop the phone face first, your screen will shatter. If they make it concave instead of convex, that would be more a more realistic design. Screen protectors would be a pain to put on a curved piece of glass. Still looks cool though.

a different design compared to other, but with the screen being curve in the middle going outwards your face would be touching all the buttons on the screen, bad enough as it is

I happen to like this one. Samsung people please stop hating. Hopefully it will be a bigger screen though and customizable without jail breaking.

I just think that if Apple, or any manufacturer really, would make a curved display, it would be the curved the opposite way... Not outwards, but inwards, matching the curve of your head.

Apple would never do this! Who wants a curved display? It's just going to be uncomfortable and hard to put a case on, not even possible to be made, besides it would randomly change the game here!

What's the sense of such a curved display?! There is no sense.

Convex or concave, it will not be eye-friendly. Back light will diverge, so will use more power.

I think the concept is nice but the screen curvature might cause some areas to have more light reflection and cause a "blind spot".

I want a bigger screen, I'm thinking two phones a small one & one that just fits in a shirt pocket! NFC, an Iwatch in Lou of password with Proximity sensor so you don't leave it behind, I glasses more sensors, water proof a choice of jailed or JailBroken! I get they don't want the children to play with it but I should have the choice! That's one of the things I don't like about Windows 8, plus I don't like the cloud nor do I want to lease software I want to know what my computers are telling the cloud! What do you think about DATA LEAK GATE? Apple & the service providers blaming each other on who's responsible for iPhones using large amounts of Data without owners being aware of all the information being shared about them!

1) this curved face has no benefits for the user and nor do you express any 2) the curve also, seen at low angles begins to look samsung like, I believe the radius corners here are too wide compared to jony ives preferred corners 3) the finger scanner portion seem unclear, why did you not visualize that better in the video 4) the last quarter of the video was too long and a pointless self promo remove it 5) the renderings and work presented is wonderful well done 6) if this is apples less expensive iphone hurray if it is the new high end heaven apple is going to die

Granted this concept does not appeal to me, using vulgar language and otherwise deriding this artist's work is completely immature. Welcome to the Internet? No, welcome to the future where everyone has the chance to spread ideas freely using this intricate web of communication. Get off your high horse and show me your 'blindfolded' design.

Personaly, I think the curved glass concept is specifically for a closed and covered iPhone (case) used for Notifications.
