Apple is preparing to begin trial production of a new iPhone 5, or iPhone 5S, in December, reports DigiTimes citing a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Initial production volumes are thought to be around 50,000-100,000 units.
Facing low yield rates in the production of iPhone 5, Apple has accelerated the certification processes for related parts and components for the iPhone 5S, the paper revealed.
The rumored iPhone 5S is expect to enter volume production in the first quarter of 2013. In addition, the report says Apple will likely release a new version of the iPad a quarter later than the iPhone 5S, "since the display resolution of its latest version of iPad has come out lower than expected".

Predictions:
Like the S on 3GS was for Speed, so will be for the 5S.
- Quad Core 1.2GHz or Dual Core 1.4GHz
- 2GB RAM
-128 GB storage.
That's it. Battery will have the same specs which means it will be slightly improved.
I don't see it coming out before September.

They released a new ipad when they launched ipad mini... This release of iPhone 5s looks similar to that...its going to be 0.001 inch taller and few OS updates (most copied from Android and then tweaked a bit)....but many apple fanboys will still buy it...Apple is raping their wallet which i don't care...but they are killing American innovation and i am Mad

Heck, at least apple buyers generally have a year to wait before being outdated whereas android buyers wait half a month.

This is the beginning of the end for apple. If this story is true, it proves that the company is losing its edge. Not many can afford a new phone every few months - at least not at the price of an iPhone. If a new iPhone appears after only a few months after the latest one, it proves that there is a design and production flaw. If a product is good, it can withstand time and competition.

They said the new iPad not the new iPad mini. Either way this is bill because the new iPad has a better resolution than the old one. They wouldn't name it S anyway. Why? The 5 already has Siri. Don't believe this story.

Could be true since Apple has lost its mentor (RIP) the things have changed now.The way Apple release their products and the speed rate is too high.They are going to lose clients here!!!

Yabba yabba yabba. If you drop a damn IPhone what good is it then. I've dropped a Samsung phone and it took the hit. I dropped an iPhone and it stopped working and crapped out and turned into a brick and paper weight.
