Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge vs. Apple iPhone 6: Fingerprint Scanner Comparison [Video]

Check out this video comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge fingerprint scanner versus the iPhone 6's fingerprint scanner.

The video was taken by PhoneArena at MWC in Barcelona, Spain. Notably, Samsung has improved its sensor and it no longer requires swiping your finger over it. You can now press and hold similar to Touch ID on the iPhone.

We'd say that Sammy's finger scan is just as reliable as the one on Apple's flagship, as each unlock attempt was met with success. Now, as far as speed goes, the Galaxy S6 unlocks just a bit slower than the iPhone 6. We wouldn't say that the difference is dramatic, and it may be more to do with software and animations, than the hardware sensor being slow. In any case, we'd say that for normal usage, not comparison and nitpicking, the sensor is speedy enough so that the user wouldn't notice a difference.

Samsung needs to change the name to iPhone they been copying them from the get-go and still are. The thing they should copy is how to make it last past 6 months. They must freeze up when apple releases a new one lol. Stick to tv's Samsung that's what you good at

Or better yet, home appliances like tv's, dishwashers, laundry-related things. That's what they are best at. They need to leave the mobile business out.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Admittedly Samsung did blatantly copy the design, but they did improve it. They did copy the idea of a fingerprint scanner. IOS 7 and 8 are complete copies of android. Your swipe up and down to access notification and quick setting screens have been on android years before apple decided to add them. iPhones could not even add a background wallpaper until 3 or 4 years ago.

They copied the fingerprint scanner along with Apple pay which appears soon, they copied Siri in which was s voice but was never heard of in a while, they copied the idea of a touchscreen. The only thing iOS 7 copied from android was animated backgrounds. The multitasking they made before it was improved, and 8 only copied the keyboard extensions. Besides, tweaking is what made it possible to add backgrounds.

The only way for you to download a virus on Android is if you go out and try and download a virus.
