Microsoft has officially announced that the name of its new Project Spartan web browser, that will come with Windows 10, is 'Microsoft Edge'.

Today we announced the name of our new browser, Microsoft Edge. We chose the name Microsoft Edge as it reflects our commitment to developers to deliver a browser that lives at the edge of modern web standards and security. Microsoft Edge is a browser built for doing, with built-in note taking and sharing; a reading pane for no distractions; and integration with Cortana. We showcased how Microsoft Edge will offer developers better discoverability of their apps and our plans for future extensibility with JavaScript and HTML.

Take a look at a video preview of the new browser below...

Really, edge? Does that mean it's being in the edge of staying simplicity and about to jump off of it? Not to mention the window they opened is where they finally introduced a browser to catch up on Apple's work which is what they did years back just like catching up to iPhone with everything it got. Microsoft is a slow version of Apple. They reveal work they did but take too long to clone it all.
