Siri co-founders Dag Kittlaus and Adam Cheyer debuted their new artificial intelligence assistant 'Viv' today at TechCrunch Disrupt NY.
Viv is an artificial intelligence platform that enables developers to distribute their products through an intelligent, conversational interface. It’s the simplest way for the world to interact with devices, services and things everywhere. Viv is taught by the world, knows more than it is taught, and learns every day.
Viv aims to be more personal than previous personal assistants and features a developer platform which will allow it to integrate with additional services. It's already had acquisition offers from Google and Facebook, according to the Washington Post.
“It’s about taking the way that humans have naturally interacted with each other for thousands of years and applying that to the way they interact with services,” said Kittlaus. “Everyone knows how to hold a conversation.”
