Apple may be planning a surprise hardware announcement before Christmas, according to a leaked internal AppleCare memo.

In an internal memo this week, obtained by MacRumors from a reliable source, Apple informed service providers that it has AppleCare-related changes planned for Tuesday, December 8 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Specifically, Apple has advised technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and new/updated product pricing, according to the memo.

Apple typically issues these types of memos ahead of product announcements. For example, a memo told technicians to prepare for changes on October 13 at 10am PT when Apple's iPhone 12 event began.

If new hardware is coming, Apple is likely to issue a press release at 5:30am PT / 8:30am ET. Notably, leaker l0vetodream predicted a Christmas surprise nearly a month ago.
