AltServer Mail Plug-in Will Not Work in macOS Sonoma, New Method in the Works

AltStore says that the AltServer plug-in for Mac will not work in macOS Sonoma, Apple's next major operating system update. AltServer is used to help AltStore sideload apps onto your device.

The team confirmed the news in a tweet earlier today.

PSA: Confirmed in WWDC labs that legacy Mail plug-ins are NOT supported on macOS Sonoma. MailKit-based extensions are the only supported method going forward.


Thankfully, it sounds like there may be an alternative solution for users that update.

AltServer's Mail plug-in will no longer work once you update, but we're working on a new method we hope to release soon.
