Geohot has announced that he has jailbroken the iPhone 4.
As far as a release goes, it probably won't happen from me. limera1n is little more than a raindrop on a website; it was never mentioned by me previous to this post. pwned4life is a complete invention of some blogger in a basement somewhere. When I said pwned for life, I was referring to the original iPhone, 3G, and Touch; which of course are, by the aptly named PwnageTool. Again, please don't ask for release dates. Every person that does makes me want to release a little bit less.
Considering that there already is a userland jailbreak coming for all 4.0 devices; Geohot may save his exploit for the future.
GEOHOT SUCKS, people not up to speed think he is the godfather of iphone hacking but the fact is that he stole the exploits from other coders and just released a tool quicker than others that is why he got into the spot light. Its the DEV-TEAM and (iH8sn0w team for making winny version) that should get the credit. I think he has left the iphone scene cuz people know he is a giant ASS and he can't take the pressure, GEOHOT is an childish NUMPTY that is clearly unstable. Oh yeah what is the deal with that rediculous hairdo of his....... GEORGE time to take a shower DUDE and get a crew cut!!!

I think there needs to be a mutual respect here. These guys work hard and are very talented. They provide these awesome unlocks and jailbreaks for all of us... For free. We take and use their hard work on our phones and I'm sure there's only a handfull that have even donated to show their appreciation. Bottom line is they don't have to provide us with anything. However, considering the huge demand for the unlocks and jailbreaks, due to the fact we have always been given the tools, to tell us that it's unlocked and I may not give you the tools this time is just as disrespectful to us who support and solute you. Just my two cents. I must say that a stock iPhone sux!!!! Lol
To you all incompetent free riders out there who are being totally disrespectful and ungrateful, go to your moms and cry out loud that Geohot doesn't release his hard work so that you can pose like a bunch of fucking genius who do the work yourselves. Wake up and let's not cry over something so intellectually great for less than a fucking penny. I'm sure many have made a fortune out of other's works.
And what has he actually provided that is intellectually great?
He has talked about what he has done and that is the only reason he is being talked about. I have been around since the iPhone came out, admiring, using and contributing cash for the privilege of using the work that some of these brilliant people have put out and the bulk of it has come from others and not Geohot.
Ever since the first jailbreak, as soon as a new innovation is required Geohot jumps in and announces he has done it first but releases nothing. Actions should speak louder than words, but Geohot has learned that if he shouts first and loudest, he gets the public accreditation.

Seems like everybody now jailbreaks the iphone but doesn't want to release the jailbreak.........hey Geo......if you dont want to release the jailbreak....thats good but.....for all I know until you do this is photoshop....especially now that the new Photoshop CS5 is out.......so your words are falling on deaf ears

The only reason anyone is upset and pissed off is because they want something they can't have. Geohot is doing this voluntarily and has no obligation to release this to anyone if he so chooses to do so. If you kiddies are so damn impatient then how about you start working on your own jailbreak. Ohh wait because none of you have the knowledge to do so.
My employer pays me approx. $100/hr to find and patch exploits in their corporate systems. The mere fact Geohot is doing this to help the community is something wonderful. I honestly can't say I'd do the same for some of you whiny little children. Grow the fuck up and quit bitching because you think you live in a society where you deserve everything right this fucking second!!
You pillock, open your eyes. He isn't "doing" anything other than talk. And as for wanting something now and for free,your wrong, I'm happy to wait and to pay (or donate), but if it was to come sooner all the better. I for one appreciate the efforts of those with greater abilities than myself in this field.
As for your employer, I hope he gets more for his 100 bucks than the loud mouthed, foul mouthed blow hard that you appear to be.
