I0n1c has just demonstrated an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3 using his iPad.

As we mentioned yesterday, i0n1c was listed as one of the many possible sources for a 4.3 untether by MuscleNerd.

I0n1c posted the video below on YouTube saying, shows my alpha untethered jailbroken iPad on iOS 4.3. alpha because not all required kernel patches are in it, yet.

No word yet on when the untether will be available for public release. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.

Take a look...

i just dicovered that if you edit the file named "SystemVersion.plist" found in var/System/Library/CoreServices you can make your system version 4.3 and also the build version of the system same as iOS 4.3... so it's not sure this thing is for real :)

i forgot to say that it's just a visual trick... so the video is probably what i said :D

big part of apple success is jailbreak and unlock if it wasnt for this geniuses dev team, geohotz people will not that eager to buy iphone, ipod touch or an ipad, apple should release idevice that is already jailbroken and all factory unlock, im sure the sales of apple will double right away... think about it apple???? apple should be hiring me i got loads of marketing idea hehehe

True If they don't change the 'game' android will eat their market share so fast . apple has to fight (alone with its IOS) against all the other companies (which are using android) Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony-ericsson, LG, .... and all these have Google support After owning all Iphone models (since 2G to 4G) , I've bought a Samsung Galaxy S and I love it, I have all apps there (I used to have on Iphone) and I'm more than satisfied with this device (next day I've got it rooted and unlocked myself and no one is suying me for that :) ) The Iphone 4 I had I gave it to my wife (she need it for phone, email and music, nothing else) for her needs it's perfect.

Please i need unlock not jailbreak. Why don't you just unlock the phone please instead of jailbreak? Put your hands together to create the unlock for people

Fannar76 - March 11, 2011 at 5:15am

You need to jailbreak to be able to unlock!!

Awesome!!! Can't wait for the release. Will there be a problem with the iPad 2 since it will have the A5 chip?

hmm - March 10, 2011 at 7:41pm

hmm thinking what will be new excused for unlock

David - March 10, 2011 at 8:20pm

Ya... When are they going to unlock the iPad? Doh!

clar - March 10, 2011 at 6:54pm

We need an unlock as well as the jailbreak!

mza - March 10, 2011 at 7:19pm

without jailbreak, there is no way to even dream about third party unlock. Except if you buy a factory unlocked phone with $$$$$$$ of money.

Brian - March 10, 2011 at 7:42pm

Forget the unlock we need the jaibreak, and there is a unlock if you saved your baseband at 1.59. I know some didn't get the chance to but some did and didn't do their research.
