Cydia 1.1 has just been released by saurik and is now available in Cydia. This version is nearly a complete rewrite from 1.0 and includes new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements. According to saurik, Cydia 1.1 is faster, slimmer, and more stable; including an improved search algorithm and "resume where you left off"
Cydia 1.1 also removes some of the older default packages. However, Saurik notes this is normal because repositories are managed differently, and will not be deleted.
Work on Cydia 1.1 has been ongoing on for some time now. Recently, Saurik posted a detailed comment on the improvements which can be found here
To install Cydia 1.1, simply open Cydia, and upgrade when prompted to.

Hi all,
New Cydia 1.1.1 is better and faster. But I has one problem, don't work install over AutoInstall:/
I tried put to Pwnagetool(3.1.5) to cydiabundle/.../AutoInstall, but after create custom firmware and restore my iphone, cydia write version +-1.0.3044 and I must install via wifi:/ ...is able to do this without wifi?
How I can install this New Cydia 1.1.1 via folder AutoInstall? when I put the installation file to the Pwnage(cydia bundle/../../AutoInstall) with two files(icons, debian) but don't work after restore immediatly. But previous version cydia1.0.322x works. thanks

Those of you getting errors further, try to launch cydia later ,look for changes,if it says upgrade,do it and finally cydia 'll ask to close the app (after full upgrade) and you'll see the progress bar in different shape.. The updates starts at where you left last time.

I was kinda hoping they'd make Cydia look a little better...
The improvements are great though, seems a lot faster on my iPhone 2g...no more annoying errors either!

Just get the Gevey 3G adapter and not even worry about it.

The Dev Team does their work for free in their spare time. Plus, they are still trying to find the correct exploit to use for the unlock. They certainly have no obligation to do this and could quit at any time if they wanted. So, why not be grateful they are at least trying instead of feeling entitled to the fruits of someone else's work? Or, how about making an unlock yourself?

Looks & feels much better than the previous edition. Hope the iPad version gets an improvement, as well. Thanks Saurik :)
