A consumer recently purchased an iPhone. While messing with the 3G device, she found these pictures. The pictures were of the "iPhone Factory" all covered in plastic. Two are blurred, but one is quite a stunning picture.
My mother bought an iPhone this morning. Got it home, ripped off all the factory sealed packing, registered it and while changing the wallpaper, found three photos in the camera roll. Two are blurry, but this one is something else

those plastic thingies are likely just the method that the iPhone is transported around the manufacturing plant (say from the manufacturing line to a test station) and are likely re-used after the phones go into their consumer boxes. That's even better than recycling !

"and while changing the wallpaper, found three photos in the camera roll." - meaning she wanted to change the wallpaper and while looking for a picture to choose she found the above pic it in the camera roll. it's as simple as that.

i know, i have an iphone. but, in the story it says, it was a wallpaper, in the wallpaper section under settings...

@robert. when you plug the phone in it will import the photos to iPhoto or the PC equivalent

there plastic thingies can be 100% recycled. no need to worry.
