Blogger Pat Phelan has posted a video of a 3G iPhone which has been successfully unlocked by SIMable.
SIMable is an innovative little chip that frees your SIM card to work in the vast majority of mobile phones. We all know that the very latest 3G devices can be very difficult and expensive to unlock and SIMable is the 10 second solution without invalidating any warranty on your precious handset.
Pat writes about his experience with SIMable saying, "I have tried every option so far and none of them worked but I got a sample pack a few weeks ago from SIMable and decided to try that, it worked first time and with a little bit of chopping and changing I have the phone running on 3G vodafone."

DOES NOT WORK! Mobile Solutions 24/7 (providers of the 'solution') have withdrawn the iPhone from the list of phones SIMable can unlock and there is no further mention of it anywhere within their web site. Even the UnlockUK who had something on their web site dated 20th August and sugesting they had a soliution for the 3G unlocking, removed that post. So, all hoax and nonsense!!
This SIM is CRAP! Didn't work more than two hour on my iPhone 3G. The worst sim card ever! I have rebel sim and this one took more than one day to lose signal.
Seems not to work here in Switzerland with Sunrise. Phone cannot receive calls, SMS are unreliable and no 3G data either. Any success stories? Might be a case for a lawyer...
Why even bother mentioning this one?
There are way to many of these, sure some are better then others,
but it's still NOT AN UNLOCK.
And as mentioned in previous postings can be illegal in some places.
Check out the iSmart Simcard ($24USD) as well as mooglex.com for their solution ($34.99USD).
I have both seen and heard some good feedback about both of these chips.
