Nate True has released Dock 3.0 for quick application switching in the iPhone 2.0 firmware.
Dock Features: - Sorts apps by categories, making large amounts of apps easy to manage - Imports Favorites entries from Phone with pictures, into the "Speed Dial" category - Can be disabled in specific applications - Has a Prefs app that lets you quickly categorize apps the way you want them
To use, install from Cydia (props to Shaun Erickson for packaging), and reboot your phone. The yellow line across the bottom of your screen shows you that Dock is active. Now slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen, slowly. Dock will activate and you can select a category. Then move your finger further up the screen to select an app. Let go to launch, or slide back down to cancel.

what a piece of junk.. I mean who uses a dock on the iPhone?! on a macbook, well..yea, that's something else.. we have a clean desktop without icons.. but on the iPhone wich is all about the icons :))) useless.. unless you plan to mess up your iPhone's resources and deal with a sluggy firmware..
just make sure to disable intelliscreen before installing,,.they dont work too well toegther..
after reboot ur phone freezes.. if u forget to disable dont worry..just wait, 2 mins or so and a pop up from intelliscreen will detect the conflict and ask if u want to disable
