RiP Dev has officially released the first version of Kate for iPhone 2.0 which replaces the beta previously available.
Kate is an unique package of little tools for your iPhone that can be installed separately from each other. Each module provides its own set of features aimed to make your use of iPhone more productive and fun. Customization, business tools, quick contacts search, system font replacement and many more
All Components: - First release for firmware 2.0. Can be installed from the repository http://i.ripdev.com/ using Installer 4. - All included components reworked to work under 2.0.x with the same functionality. We will expand on the featureset soon. - Existing subscriptions will work; you can also request a trial or check your subscription by visiting Settings > RiP Dev > RiP Dev Products preference pane.
EQ: - This component will not be supported under firmware 2.0 due to significant changes in the audio subsystem.
Uninstall: - This component is not yet supported (will be included in the next version).
After installing Kate and then uninstalling it after its trial period I've lost WiFi capability. It just won't see my access point. I've tried re-pwning it with pwnage but no luck anyone help?
**Important**
It does uninstall it just installs in two parts the "Rip dev Kat" & "Rip dev preferences" I emailed their support very helpful I am not happy about the jumbled icons but easier to rearrange then having to restore my iPhone. Read and email support before restoring your phones.
Also having trouble to get this to work. Only want this app for the SMS privacy, but cant get the phone to work. Like someone said earlier i return to the springboard after a few seconds. Crap crap crap
after uninstalling (installer) I had to restore my phone because iTunes wouldn't recognize it any more (iPhoto was still loading after connecting the phone).
So test this app only if you have time and patience to do a restore ...
if you turn off all the switches for the smart dialler in the new pane that's been installed to preferences the phone will work fine. I use Kate primarily for txt privacy and the call txt reminded functions, they work well. The supplied replacement font is really good too. I don't need a smart dialler nor do I want a calandar front end so hopefully in next release I'll be able to dump the bits I don't want.
you right, this app is crap. i installed and all my icons move alone, my dock look like Kafka picture and impossible to use phone call pad now. phone is dead. i have to desisntall mobile enhancer+kate+rip dev to back right but with restaure. rip dev ask i have to register for trial period. i do this and have 3 days trial period !!! DON'T INSTALL THIS BUGGY CRAP

wen it says uninstall it means from the springboard like u can with appstore apps, it is this feature is currently under development, u can actualli uninstall kate from installer itself :) "
True but as 'carsten' and Kyle mentioned even after uninstalling Kate the problem still is there and only restoring the phone with Winpwn again with fix the problem. Unfortunately this is not what any of us prefer.
Agreed. I have installed this app ( can't recall if it was 2.0) on another friends iphone and it caused problems on his Iphone . I wouldn't install without an uninstaller for sure .
We were facing dialer crash with Kate 2.0 installed in our recently upgraded iPhone 2.0.2. Surprisingly, we couldn't get rid of Kate until we ran the whole WinPwn 2.5 process all over again. I hope RiP Dev release a patch to fix this dialer crash attributed to Kate 2.0.

I am not able to call. Like in the previous version the phone icon returns to the board after ten seconds. None of the phone icon (favorites, contacts etc) have text. All other functions including recieving call (!) works. Nice font.
Application uninstaller has not been supported yet, in a commercial application? Considering Kate's crashing and freezing reputation from the past, I consider this statement as a very bad joke...
