Samsung Denies Request to Produce Calls That Show Confusion With Apple Products

Samsung is denying Apple's request to produce call center records which show customers confusing an Apple product for a Samsung product or vice versa, reports Edible Apple.

Apple made the request during the discovery phase of its litigation against Samsung. Specifically they want Samsung to look over its call center records and produce "any instances of customer confusion in which Samsung was made aware."

More interesting than Apple's request is Samsung's response.

Samsung denied the request saying that it was overly broad and time consuming. Why would it take so long? Apparently because Samsung gets so many users calling in to say how much they disliked their previous Apple product and how much they love their new Samsung product.

For example, it is possible that Samsung customers may have contacted the call centers to comment on how they disliked their previous Apple product, but enjoy using their Samsung product. This would not be responsive to Apple's requests, because the consumer is not expressing any confusion as to the source of the product he or she was calling about.

How apple can kill the tablet market in one simple code sign: ADD ADOBE FUCKING FLASH TO IOS, simple as that That is the only reason someone that can actually afford an ipad over some cheap ass low quality android tablet even looks twice at an android tablet. I agree that it is worthless to own an ipad with stock ios (not jailbroken), however, once you jailbreak it thats when you see why paying the extra dollar for a tablet that doesn't support flash makes more sense. I paid the extra dollar for mine and got one for my wife (oh what a fun night that was lol). But my point is if i'm going to spend over $500 or $600 on something it better have the quality to match and I only made the decision to buy an ipad 2 when the jailbreak was released, otherwise I would have never wanted a tablet at all. But either way from what ive seen owning a tablet is overall pointless, its become more of a status thing just to say that you have a tablet more than actually make any legitimate use of it. But I still ended up buying 2 ipad 2s anyway. But back to this subject, I think that samsung should just take there thumbs out of there asses and quit trying to copy everything apple does and just go back to making LCD displays for apple (just an opinion)

I think it's just that u don't have a reason for really using it. It's a great product for any business. That's if u know how to implement it. And for a consumer, android can't touch iPad.

My ipad 2 jailbroken on 4.3.3 has all but replaced my at home computer needs. I totally agree with you, and most everyone else, that they should implement flash capabilities. The only thing I still use my home computer for is to watch tv on the web which I cannot do on any ios device.

I can easily implement this into my work environment, however, I much more prefer to use my macbook pro as I can store much more information on a 1TB than 32GB of flash and the editing options are much easier on a macbook than an ipad (mainly because thats what I am used to).
