Update on the Untethered Jailbreak for the iPhone 4S

Pod2g has issued an update on the progress of the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S.

For those who haven't been tracking his progress, last week pod2g successfully untethered the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod 4G, iPod 3G, iPad 1, and Apple TV 2 (4.4.3). He has now turned his attention to the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.

Here are the news of the 4S week-end. The untether fails right now because I'm having processor cache issues. I'm close, but I can't figure out what happens. It certainly has something to do with the Cortex-A9 cache management.

I could sort it out quick, it's a matter of chance. I'll report you my progress tomorrow.

Well, since this isn't working on the 4s yet it'd be nice to release it for the 4 before 5.1 comes out. Wouldn't surprise me to see this around christmas when many people are traveling and can't update. Have to wait for the new year I suppose.

You know, I'm writing a progress report and letting you know I have a untethered jailbreak, but I'm just not going to release it, even though a iPhone 4S was purchased by your donations... Okay, so what's new in this story? Release it for the 4, and first gen iPad? What seems to be a problem, if you do have it? Think now! If you release it more may actually donate if you show you have something?

Dude, didn't you say you need donations for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S but yet you only bought iPhone 4S? Dude you do know iPhone 4S has a new 5.0.1 build with lots of exploits so Apple gave you 100 and one ways. Wonder why is that? So stop playing games we all know you got the jailbreaks out for all devices thanks with help of Apple and release them instead of trying to make it look like you having problems.
