Apple is preparing to launch a new online store, according to a notice shown to educational shoppers, reports AppleInsider.
"Apple is launching a new online store, which is your tool to shop and place orders with Apple," the note reads. "Proposal creation, order status, and a dramatically simplified user interface will make it easier to do business with Apple - all in a secure and reliable environment."
While the notice appears to indicate that this new online store may only be for educational institutions, it could also signal that a revamp of Apple's general consumer storefront is coming as well.
"Your current Apple ID and password will continue to work," the notice states. "In the coming weeks, you will receive more information about the store's features, benefits, and launch date."

Apple needs to fix iTunes. Its a mess with
Keep that for Movies and Music (and educational webcasts).
Separate the Apps for iOS and make a application similar to the AppStore.
I like the two stores separate. iOS and OSX stores - don't think it would be wise to combine them.
