An AT&T sanctioned method of using the iPhone as a 3G modem for a laptop is on the way soon, according to a MobileCrunch report.
In an interview with Michael Arrington at the Web 2.0 Summit, AT&T Mobility CEO Ralph De La Vega let it be known that an official tethering solution would be available "soon". It is unclear what type of package will be offered or at what cost it will come.
Currently, AT&T offers a tethering solution to users of Research In Motion's BlackBerry smartphones for an additional $30 per month.
