first, anyone with a brain knows this...
second, this new update too important to wait for.
not to mention, once they have the jailbreak, new firmware updates will only take days to crack.

Why wait to unlock a 3G Iphone when you can by them legally unlocked by apple from vodafone in Italy (contract free, pay walk out of shop with unlocked phone) and suppliers in greece and a few other countries... I did it for 3of them and I update the firmware without any worries or hassles about unlocking

jayceeinelbee, apple is NOT the one saying 'don't download this,' it's the iphone dev team, the guys that release pwnage and help you jailbreak and unlock your device... they're basically telling you that if you install the update from apple immediately after it's released you might not have a chance of unlocking your 3g right away. hope that cleared up confusion. :)

what is this? Why would apple POST an update with potential problems? And then warn us not to download? Is this a joke?
