Today the iconfactory released Twitterrific v3.2, an update to their application that connects with the Twitter community website.
Twitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or "tweets" to the Twitter community website. The application's user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac's desktop.
New Features:
Old tweets are marked as read when you launch the application
Added rate limit check at startup
Changed HTTP authentication to make access more reliable through a proxy
All communications with Twitter are now encrypted using HTTPS
Up to 200 tweets will be read into your timeline
Added reply ids to posted messages for more accurate conversations
A menu is now available on the Dock icon when enabled via settings
Bug Fixes:
Fixed many problems with accessibility: VoiceOver now reads correctly
Fixed problems with old tweets causing false notifications
A crash when starting up on Tiger was fixed
Errors on Twitter no longer cause the menubar to highlight
Reduced API usage when opening configuration panel
Changed the warning indicator so it doesnt block out character count
Fixed problems with adding favorites (Cmd-1)
Improved link detection so more types of URLs can be clicked
