The Pocket Tripod is the world's first iPhone stand that can articulate to any angle, and can transform to the shape of a credit card.
The Pocket Tripod transforms like a toy and can take the shape and size of a credit card that fits in any wallet. The tripod's design uses circular rails to let you articulate your iPhone any angle using smooth and controlled movement in either landscape or portrait mode. Supporting the iPhone 4/4s and 5, the stand holds the iPhone snug, so you will most likely have to take off any case you have on your iPhone before using it.
Steve Wozniak, Co-Founder of Apple has even given the product its praise in an email correspondence. "Great project. Never would have come about without a great deal of creativity and desire to do something different...it's perfect for me. You can count me in. I never had thought that something like that could be done."
The creator, Rambod Radmard, has gone a step further and even created an iPhone app that lets you experiment with different colors for the pocket tripod, which you can suggest to their team for future products.
Radmard is seeking $45,000 in order to get his project successfully funded. Backers can pledge $20 and receive their Pocket Tripod (Retail - $30). The estimated ship date is currently set for June of 2014.
Cool idea. reminds me of the tiny trampolines that started out at $200 and dropped to $15. I'll wait till these are made in China and available at the dollar store.
We've closed the 2014 delivery date rewards, and have added a new reward with the expected delivery date of November 2013. We really need as much support as possible to meet our funding goal. Kickstarter is all or nothing, so to get any funding, we need to accomplish this funding goal first.
Thank you so much for all your support!
Rambod.
Thank you for the great article! I really appreciate the support!
We're actually working hard with the mold maker to expedite the delivery date to November 2013.
Yes -- a year from now. However, the creator has stated that he is "conservative" with that date. He set the date for June just in case of any delays in production
