UnlocktheiPhone is claiming to be able to unlock the 2.2.1 iPhone firmware using software.
Within minutes you will be able to unlock any iPhone. Whether your iPhone has version 1.*, 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1 and iPhone 3G - we have the software to unlock it all!
Our software is GUARANTEED to unlock your 3g iPhone and Jailbreak iPhone. Our iphone unlocking software works with the new apple iPhone 3G with all versions including 2.2 and 2.2.1 and of course can jailbreak and unlock all older iPhones.
The site sells their software for $29.95. It seems they are actually repackaging the iPhone Dev-Teams hard work on QuickPwn and YellowSn0w. At this point in time yellowsn0w is unable to unlock the baseband that comes with 2.2.1.
Thanks to commenters Jorge Asch and Baf4 for providing more information on this site.
YEAH Finally i paid them and then I realized that this is Dev Team own creation, i reported thru PAY PAL with reason not theire trade mark
I got my mony back.
yes this software true it can unlock iphone all version 2.01 . 2.1 . 2.2. but 2.2.1 only boot 5.8 can be unlocked so impossible to unlock 2.2.1 with boot 5.9 and 6.2
so dont buy the soft bcauz all support free
That's a complete fake I mean its Yell0wSn0w which they are selling. And yes before you pay, there is no information in which we may be able to know that it is Yell0wSn0w or Quickpwn.
So please DO NOT PAY for this crap.
It is a complete scam! Tried it today May 4th, 2009. All they do is give you the instructions from yelowsn0w! Outrageous! Stay away from UnlockthiPhone.com, unless you want to lose (just as me) 30 bucks! Shame on them!
They are thieves. I buy from them "the software". It is QUICKpWN. And the charge me with 29 USD. It doesn't work. I don't know who this guys are, but I claimed back my money and nothing. only automatic responses: "we received your email and a customer support will contact you soon". An they have 24/7 service support. What a bad joke. SO, stay aware from this kind of sites who stolen other people work and sell it for their wealth.
I tried contacting Digital River (the people that charge the credit cards for then), but I was unable to do so, using their cumbersome contact page. They should at least know they are aiding and abetting. Perhaps they could pull the plug on them as a customer.
I also tried it and it was a scam. It's not true they can't unlock it. I email them for my refund and It did not go thorugh. Well I leave those folks to God
