Customers have been informed that their pre-ordered iPhone 3G S devices from Apple have begun shipping.
According to AppleInsider forum member DiscoNomad, "My 32GB black iPhone that I ordered the second I could on the Apple iPhone store has officially shipped. I found out this morning via an email which included a tracking number."
The new iPhones are being shipped out of Shenzhen, China. Apple has promised delivery by June 19th.

Hi,
My Order says Prepared To Ship but my iPhone 3GS is coming from the USA.
Also tracking is from DHL Order June 11Th.

iPhones 3GS are not shipping yet, its only says "Prepared for Shipping" from "not shipped yet"
unless he lives at the North/South pole I can understand why they need the 5 day head-start.

They are shipped from China not the States. They need at least 3 days to arrive. I am not surprised they are shipping them right now, Apple did that before with instructions to deliver on specific date.

actually they have shipped.
I received my confirmation this morning. Tracking number and all. Shipped via UPS from china. Deliver by the 19th.
you should look and think before commenting.
