Amazon has aired its first ad for the Amazon Fire phone. The ad focuses on the company's inclusion of a free year of Amazon Prime as its main selling point.

Now airing the new Amazon Fire phone TV commercial. [https://www.amazon.com/fire-phone] For a limited time, every Fire phone includes a full year of Prime benefits (a $99 value), including Prime Instant Video (over 40,000 movies and TV episodes), Free Two-Day Shipping, and over one million songs and more. If you already have Prime, we'll extend your membership for a full year. Yeah, it's supposed to be funny, I barely grinned. I will forget this ad quickly, therefore it's a fail in my book. Not sure why they chose this one. I would not do a Samsung style ad by mocking Apple iPhone users, maybe a voice-over presentation of the features while seeing a floating Amazon fire would make more sense for them. Anyhow, I'm happy to see there's a new alternative, some people will like it.
