RiP Dev has changed the pricing model for Kali, their solution for developers looking to protect their app from piracy.
Originally Kali employed a pricing model based on sales volume, this was considered too much of a hassle by many developers.
Now you can enjoy the industry standard protection (none of the products protected with Kali Anti-Piracy have been cracked yet!) at the affordable $100* activation fee with the successive flat royalty payments of $50 per quarter -- no more sales-based fees!
Think on how much you lose on the piracy -- and the price of the Kali Anti-Piracy license is exactly 101 stolen copies of your $0.99 product. Do a simple math and take the right decision.
I'm curious. What are some of the apps that are under this protection? As a developer I can honestly say, Pirating is Stealing. Some developers live depending on the software they sell. If you want to use the app, simply buy it.
I've been trying to find out just wich apps have protection as well as I'm curious as to how the prosess works. I may be wrong but I think a game called "StrongHolds" ($0.99) might employ this security. And if not they have some sort of security that can tell wether the app was paid for or downloaded illegally.
I don't understand why more develpers don't use this Anti-Piracy software.
It seems like the intelligent thing to do.
Well if I release anything usefull in the app store, you can bet it will use this Anti-Piracy technology.
