FoneConnector for Daylite 1.0

FoneConnector for Daylite is a new and flexible inbound telephony solution for Marketcircle Daylite and offers unique and native CRM-telephony-integration on Macs. The number of an incoming phone call is automatically matched by FoneConnector to the appropriate Daylite contact in the actual Daylite database and triggers a Call Window.

In this Call Window a Daylite-user can track call-duration, take notes during the phone call and add various Daylite-elements like appointments, tasks, projects, opportunities or attach pre-defined Daylite-forms. All those elements are automatically linked to the appropriate contact in the Daylite database. The user can even link the phone call to existing projects, opportunities or groups to which the caller is already linked to.

About the general architecture of FoneConnector for Daylite:
FoneConnector for Daylite doesn't listen directly to the telephone line - it integrates with some popular 3rd party telephony systems instead, who identify the icoming call and send the caller's number to FoneConnector to perform the lookup in Daylite. This way, FoneConnector is very flexible and can potentially support any telephone device that the 3rd party telephony system supports by itself.

The connection to 3rd party telephony solutions is achieved through FoneConnector Phone Plugins. In version 1.0 FoneConnector for Daylite supports the following 3rd party telephony solutions through FoneConnector Phone Plugins and integration scripts:

In addition there is an AppleScript Phone Plugin included so that FoneConnector for Daylite can integrate with other 3rd-party telephony systems, e.g even with the iPhone through an AppleScript-integration with BluePhone Elite 2 by Mira Software, Inc. 3rd party developers can extend the support for telephony systems by writing their own native Phone Plugins for FoneConnector.
