Amazon has stopped selling the Apple TV and Google Chromecast just as the fourth generation Apple TV hits stores.
The reason for the ban? Here's what Amazon had to say...
"Over the last three years, Prime Video has become an important part of Prime," Amazon said. "It’s important that the streaming media players we sell interact well with Prime Video in order to avoid customer confusion."
Meanwhile, I'm horrified at the spelling errors in most of these comments. I make typo mistakes since I'm human, but these are clearly misspelled, not knowing the difference words. Then, than, your, you're, there, their, they're, an apple, a car. Oh, the list goes on. All who's native language isn't English thank you so much for trying. You're doing a great job. All the others whose mother tongue is English, and you can clearly tell which ones, please put the same effort into spelling as you do to the technical world. You're clearly not stupid because your brilliance shines and your capacity to learn complicated tasks is evident. I'm left to assume that you're just lazy have been throughout school for your language skills. So, to me there is no excuse. You're intelligent so learn it well. Put your heart in it.
No Kodi, No Apple TV - Free country and Amazon can ditch any product(s) they wish. If u don't like lit, go to eBay. It's not like only Amazon in this WWW.
So let me get this straight. Amazon is too lazy to make a app for Apple TV and they are stopping the sales of it? That about sum it up? I call bull on this. They are having such a hard time selling their fire tv that they are resorting to desperate measures like monopolizing their streaming box selection just to boost their sales.
Do you have any idea? Amazon Fire tv and stick is three times powerful then Apple TV. They are using dual wifi for the connection. There processor is so much faster then any other comparator in the market except only Roku. Apple is way behind on this technology. They allow third party app which you can cut your tv cord for good and your tv can be free for all the paid entertainment for life.
What are you talking about? Even if what you're saying is true; why does Amazon feel the need to play dirty and not sell the competitors product? If theirs is so great, why do they have to stop selling ATV and redirect search queries to something the customer didn't search for? I have an issue with this because Amazon is, first an foremost, a retailer. Their original function was to be an online warehouse of "everything"; a one stop shop. Now all of a sudden, they've decided they also want to be a tech company and so they create their own products and refuse to sell competitors' versions of these products. That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and it makes me not want to shop with them if I can't be sure I can buy the things I want there soley because they make their own version of it. Amazon needs to decide; are you a retailer first and foremost, or are you a Silicon Valley tech company?
So.. If we are trying to avoid confusion, when someone searches for "Apple TV" and are sold a fire instead, is that not merchant misdirection right there? Let the customer choose. If they choose fire, great, but if they choose Apple TV or chrome, Amazon can still make a commission on it so why not sell it.
Because apple bully they don't allow Amazon stuff due to there competitor and they are scare of failure of Apple TV. Even took out all music paid app from App Store. I paid for music app and now I can not download on other device since they took away from the App Store and my account. This is the way Apple works. I own all my product from Apple but now I slowly changing to other company.
Apple isn't behind on technology. Amazon just has more stuff in it for how big it is and involves their OS to work better in most ways. Apple TV only failed before this next generation was revealed because of not updating it. I still love it. Jaiobreak is yet to come.
How much Apple Pay you? Why are you not accepting reality. My friends there is bigger world out there then Apple. Don't be Bertie minded. It is your lose. I do not want to spend my hard earn money to foolish product. With Apple TV can you cut your cable cord? Can you watch all world channel free and cut your cable cord? Answer is NO.
My entire family did cut the cord because they have all the shows they watched and lived back when their was cable and are now satisfied. Even I did. This all depends on what Apple TV offers. It may not have all the channels and shows, but if it's enough to have, then you have all you need. At least Apple still continues to add more and more.
