Steven Toughton-Smith has posted video proof of concept demonstrating Dashboard for the iPhone.
Via his Twitter account he indicates that "Technically it could be classed as 'done'". He has decided not to release the Dashboard app until it has clear purpose...
"Haven't decided anything yet; not going to release it 'till it has clear purpose"

useless 100% for me
i can see the clock anywhere and by a click i can access notes where i can add unlimited notes instead of the sticky note

i think the clear purpose is the same clear purpose of dashboard on the mac... to quickly display information through small widgets.

Looks very useless to me, the clear purpose would be to delete it cause I'm sure it just drains the battery life of the iPhone more than ever.
