upgrade to 1.13 went well however now I do not have openssh on my screen it seems to be installed when i check the installer but it does not appear in the springboard, another big problem for me now is that i cannot get my edge network to work. I used to be able to enter info under the general setting network APN,USERNAME and Password but can no longer do so? Is there a fix for this and if not will there be one? Otherwise I will have to downgrade if I have to and if it is possible. Also all my old games such as blackjack, islots etc... no longer work nor do they appear on the springboard when i install them back on????? Any idea of why this is happening?

I don't know what happened but now the sim is working. The only thing I did was install anySim 1.2.1u and rebooted. It started working by itself. I have no idea if it was because of that. version 1.1.3(4A93) modem firmware 04.02.13_G

Has anyone tried 1.1.2 OTB unlocked phone with a HyperSim, StealthSim, etc. uprade to 1.1.3 but didn't like and donwgraded to 1.1.2? How did it go? Did you donwgrade it to 1.1.1 then upgrade it to 1.1.2 and jailbreak? Do you need to use your AT&T card for the process again if I'm using another sim card? 1.1.3 seem to be haing problem with EDGE settings (termiantes the settings entry when you switch to the next field on the screen) and also the AdHoc network doesn't work either. Cheers, Mert

seems like transferring rental movies is not working properly. It says iTunes couldn't connect Itunes store even though the internet connection is working fine.

Dont erase the whole drawer where the 1.1.3 soft upgrade is located. I did it and busted my phone. Updating to 1.1.2 ATM(did the 1.1.1 downgrade/ jailbreak...) I try to install the 1.1.3 before installing summerboard and let you know.

Is there a way to get SUMMERBOARD to work again?

It worked the second time, so now I'm on 1.1.3, unlocked!.... Just a little question.... does anyone here know how tu disable the (annoying) message: Call Forwareded/Forwarding?.... Up to firmware 1.1.1 it worked modifying a *.plist file... but not now... Thanks, and good luck everyone

iClarified - Thanks for the reply. I was only concerned because on 1.1.2 I had an icon (a lightswitch I believe) on the Springboard for SSH which isn't there now. As a side note, thank you for your wonderful tutorials - I was too intimidated to even open up my iphone packaging until I came across your site with step by step visual instructions.

@Syaza: Are you using your personal home wifi net? If so, I had the same problem. I had to set up my wifi settings(on my PC/ configuring the router) and everything worked fine!
Syaza
Syaza - January 25, 2008 at 11:12am
iClarified, Wi-fi is On and iPhone shows 3 bars signal. When I want to browse the net, it says "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server". Refreshing also didn't work. It says "Refresh Failed - Could not refresh sources!" I tried to renew lease. But it is still the same. Is there any setting that I should do? Thanks for your help :)

I've 1.1.2 OTB phone and jailbroken and unlocked with HyperSIM V2.0 ... I've used this solution from the originals source and it works just fine. Hwoever, previously installed applications just disappear from the home screen. Especially if you have Categories and used hide future from Cuztomize, I'd suggest removing all thsoe first. Otherwise, you ahve all your applications installed and none of them shows on the main screen. You can see and uninstall most of them but not the main ones like summerboard, cuztomize, categories... the unisntalltion fails. Unless you uninstall the, you can't re-install them from the installer. If eanyone knows how uninstall something manually via SSH or via termianl, please let me know... Cheers, Mert

Same problem as Steve's. Installer (v3.0b9) does not have the 1.1.3 soft upgrade application. It neither updates itself.

I'm sorry I was not trying to be rude. But what I dont understand is why all the programs appear installed but are not appearing on the main screen. I tried uninstalling some programs so that I can reinstall them but that didnt work as it gave me the message MAIN SCRIPT EXECUTION FAILED and that is for many programs OPENSSH, SUMMBERBOARD, etc... what would be the best choice to fix these problems?

Thank you Nate! I can confirm that your Jailbreak is working on my US OTB 1.1.2 iPhone with Turbo Sim! Everything is still fully functional and due to the sim based unlock it is still unlocked!

VeeKay, there is a thread on hackint0sh that explains how to use this method if you have accidentally updated to the 1.1.3 baseband.
piotr, this jailbreak release is consider broken by the dev team. Thus it is likely some will have problems with it. You may have to restore to 1.1.1 and try again.
soso, check Settings:General:About what firmware and modem firmware are you on?
Ahmad, all your programs need to be reinstalled as far as I've seen.
Mark, OpenSSH does not have an icon on your SpringBoard.
Syaza, are you connected to Wi-Fi successfully? Can you browse the net?
zandi, this is not a tutorial on how to downgrade your baseband. Apparently, however you can use this method with new baseband. See hackint0sh for now...
aaydah76, this is an unsupported broken jailbreak release. There are problems that might not have answers. Also lots of people sleep during the night :)

Does anybody know how to uninstall incompatible progs like summerboard after the 1.1.3 upgrade? I get a error message whenever i try to uninstall and I am sure plenty of upgraders are looking for a solution for this one. Would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this issue. Cheerios!

I'd activated & jailbreaked a 1.1.2 OTB 2 days ago but unfortunately I can't use the Installer & Safari. When I try to install any app, a popup "Package download failed: can't find host." is displayed on the screen. So, can I jailbreak & update to 1.1.3 if the iPhone failed to install any app? Is there any solution/suggestion for my prob? Your help is very much appreciated :)

Still haven't got SSH back on the Springboard. I ran BSD, then OpenSSH, and the last thing I got relating to it was a message about logging in taking 35 -45 seconds or something

I upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 accidentally - hence the baseband is now upgraded to 04_03_13_G. If I perform this Jailbrak now, I believe the baseband will still remain at 04_03_13_G. Would it be possible for me to unlock it with any of the Turbosim or similar cards? Or does this method only work with the baseband version 04_02_13_G? Many thanks in advance...

Hi, Everything goes well on the ibrickr-jb113 but when I tried to load installer from springboard, it doesn't prompt for any update. Then when I click Install and select the 1.1.3 soft , it waited for very long and commented 'Time Out , Download Failed'. Can anyone help?

Oh, another bit of info hopefully will help someone faces the same situation as I had. After my first attempt to update to 1.1.3 (using the Mac version), everything seemed fine, but after the iphone reboots, I just had a black screen (not even showing the Apple logo), but if I unplug and plug in in USB cable, iPhoto would load and iTune would detect the iPhone and I can still sync, but no screen. Pressing the power button won't do a thing... Panic time?! :) Resisting the temptation to do a hard reset and restore to 1.1.2, I ended up running the update again (using the Mac version of course) and after the "downloading patch" stage, my iPhone suddenly turns itself on again and from that point on, everything is working fine... Keep the faith, bro, the reboot does take a while and I was staring at the Apple logo for a good 2, 3 minutes...

Just use SSH to download and edit the LocalPackages.plist in var/root/Library/Installer, and remove the entires of the apps (I'm using Mac's Property List Editor) that won't uninstall properly or not showing up in the install list. I click open the branch under Root, expand the numeric entries, make sure it's the one you want, then click Delete. The numeric will renumber themselves. When finished, save the file, and upload back to the same folder on iPhone. Then reinstall the apps again... worked for me.
