Geohot has done it again and posted a tool which is capable of downgrading the iPhone 4.6 BL!
What this tool means is that those with the 4.6BL iPhones (1.1.2 or 1.1.3 OTB) should now be able to downgrade their bootloader to 3.9. With the 3.9 BL installed you then could update to 1.1.3 and 04.03.13_G.
This would provide full access to all 1.1.3 features including Google Maps.
This process is extremely dangerous with any tiny mistake being capable of bricking your iPhone for good. We will be posting a tutorial soon and strongly suggest if you are determined to try this to wait for our results.
These methods are very dangerous, this can really destroy your phone. No coming back from this one...
Just check George's Blog, he bricked (really bricked as in non unbrickable) a iPhone with this method.
The good work keeps coming ;-) However, I'm just wondering: I have a 1.12. OTB using the "old" methods" which gives me the Google Maps Features, but only with the NAVIGON APP. I just bought a 1.1.3. OTB which was JB and UL using the ZiPhone Method, also WITH the Google Maps functions but standalone. BOTH are on Modem Firmware 04.02.13_G. Only prerequisite for Google is: good WIFI connection. Is this because I'm using T-Mobile in Germany and am - as such - in a supported country? Should this be the case, it should be iClarified ;-))
LOL. Now I have to restore and start over...just unlocked it and finished setting it up too.
Well let's hope the procedure isn't too complicated to scare me away.
