Apple Now Displays Alert When Fake AirPods Are Connected

Apple has updated iOS 16 to display an alert when fake AirPods are connected to your iPhone.
If you get this alert when you try to connect your AirPods with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, verify that your AirPods are genuine.
The alert gives users the option to cancel connecting their unverified AirPods, or to connect them via Bluetooth settings.
You can choose to not connect your unverified AirPods, or to connect them in Bluetooth settings. If you connect your unverified AirPods, they may not perform as expected.
This could help prevent buyers from getting ripped off, making it immediately clear that their earphones are not from Apple.
We'd stick with buying from an authorized retailer like Amazon:
● AirPods Pro 2 - $249
● AirPods Pro - $179.99 ($69.01 off)
● AirPods 3 - $149.99 ($29.01 off)
● AirPods 2 - $99.99 ($59.01 off)
