Getting an ipad 2 out of recovery mode

my kid accidentally put my i pad 2 into recovery mode. i have pictures and such i don't want to lose, so i"m trying to find a way out to exit recovery mode that wont delete all my files. After hunting on Google i tried to use redsnow, but at start up it keeps asking to load an IPSW. i downloaded an IPSW file which i think is the correct one for my ipad 2 but when i try to load it up i get the massage "unable to recognize specified IPSW" then I tried tiny umbrella after i "hit exit recovery mode" the ipad will turn off and restart back into recovery mode tiny umbrellas log is 06/15/2013 13:15:57.675 Recovery Device connected: 06/15/2013 13:15:57.693 Caching shsh files... 06/15/2013 13:15:57.697 Found [0] shsh files to cache... 06/15/2013 13:15:57.701 Cached [0] shsh files 06/15/2013 13:15:57.705 You are using the current version of TinyUmbrella. 06/15/2013 13:15:57.710 Loaded History... 06/15/2013 13:16:01.930 Sending exit recovery request to 1624878067 06/15/2013 13:16:02.257 Recovery Device disconnected: null . I then tired putting the ipad into udf mode and hitting the fix recovery button, the log says wait for reboot but the ipad never reboots. i have little knowledge concerning programming and such and so am unsure how to or even if i could use more advanced jail breaking tool's to get the job done. if anyone has any ideas how i might go about doing this i would be extremely grateful to hear them, and even if you don't thanks for taking the time to read this.

Connect to Itune, and follow the instructions, do a backup before you restore.
