I do not know how my iPhone 4 developed this problem. I tried resolving it through TinyUmbrella and Redsn0w, but could not get the reboot. I also tried an iOS 5.0.1 system restore, but the phone gets stuck on Error 3194. I have tried editing the hosts file, but the problem persists. Does anyone have a solution?

To fix an iPhone 4 stuck on the Apple logo with Error 3194, you must have saved SHSH blobs for iOS 5.0.1 because Apple no longer signs that firmware version. Error 3194 happens when iTunes cannot verify the firmware signature. 1. If you have your SHSH blobs, use iFaith or Redsn0w to create a stitched custom IPSW file. 2. Put your iPhone into Pwned DFU mode using Redsn0w or iREB before you attempt the restore in iTunes. 3. Check your hosts file on your computer and remove any lines that point gs.apple.com to an external server. 4. If you do not have blobs, your only option is to restore to the latest firmware signed for the iPhone 4, which is iOS 7.1.2, although this will result in the loss of your current jailbreak and iOS version.
