Can I update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1.1

Hello there, so currently I have iPhone 3GS running on iOS 4.1. I would like to update it to 5.1.1 but not to 6.0. I have shsh blobs only for 4.1 firmware. Is it possible to update without shsh?

NOO!!! dont do that it will return an error!! and then you will have to update to ios6!!!! the thing is that when you update your ios version apple signs it (Blobs) and if you dont have them, you wont be able to upgrade/downgrade to an specific version, only to the one that apple is currently signing, which in this case is only ios6!!! so please...dont!

gdeluxe.com/ios-firmware-ipsw-download-links/ is where u can get the download then once downloaded in itunes click update while holding the shift key then select the update you downloaded, it will then update your phone to 5.1.1 instead of iOS 6 good luck
