Hi Guys,

Even me on the same page.
I have iPhone 3GS with following details. New bootram, Modern firmware 06.15.00, current iOS 4.2.1, SHSH full blobs for 5.1.1

Murdo, as you mentioned could you please let me know if I can upgrade my iOS to 5.1.1 since SHSH blobs are available for 5.1.1? If I upgrade my iOS do i need to jailbreak and unlock my iPhone again? If i upgraded my iOS to 5.1.1 do i need to activate my iPhone again with AT&T SIM? If I found some issues once I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 or 6, can i revert back to iOS 4.2.1(as I had partial blobs available for 4.2.1)?

I don't think FuXx is correct.

RedSn0w does support the upgrade/downgrade function, but it still requires the blobs to be stitched.

As you have not got iOS 5 blobs, I don't think you can upgrade to iOS 5.1.1

I'm in the same boat.. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0 and I only want to upgrade to 5... but no iOS 5 blobs :(

You can. Download the latest version of RedSn0w from here www.iclarified.com/16424 and the 5.1.1 IPSW from www.felixbruns.de and when you're done, open RedSn0w, go to Extras, then click on Even More, and select Restore. You will be prompted to select the IPSW to restore to, and you will have a few stept to follow. Good luck :D
