Unlock iPhone 3GS iOS 4.1, Baseband 5.14.2

I want to unlock my iPhone 3GS iOS 4.1 Baseband 5.14.2.
Which way should i go? Should i install iPad baseband 6.15 or First should i upgrade my iOS(i dont know the chances here)
