My iPhone 3G is stuck on the Apple logo after updating Cydia and installing a package. It was jailbroken on iOS 4.2.1 with the 06.15.00 iPad baseband. After I manually copied some .deb files into the Cydia AutoInstall folder and restarted, it will no longer boot past the logo.

To fix an iPhone 3G stuck on the Apple logo after a Cydia error, you should perform a clean restore. 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and put it into DFU mode by holding the Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds, then releasing Power while continuing to hold Home. 2. Use iTunes to restore the device to iOS 4.2.1. Note that because you have the 06.15.00 iPad baseband, you may need to use a custom IPSW created with Redsn0w or PwnageTool to avoid Error 1015. 3. Once restored, use Redsn0w to jailbreak again and reinstall ultrasn0w if you need to unlock the device for other carriers. Ensure you select the Install iPad Baseband option only if you need to fix a corrupted baseband, otherwise, just perform a standard jailbreak.
