How to go from 6.0.2 to 6.1.2 without out going to 6.1.3

I have the ipsw file for the CDMA iPhone 5 for my Verizon iPhone five... I go on my Mac on on tunes and try to manually install 6.1.2 but it says it not compatible ... Did apple block this some how or is there another way to upload a ipsw without iTunes ?? Help please

i have the same question.
in my experience, i upgraded my 4.x.x 3gs to 4.x.y manually, and it worked just fine. and when i wanted to upgrade to 5.0.0 from itunes, i can't upgrade from itunes, as if i wasn't allowed to. i wonder if that was bcause i updated manually. anyway, my geek friend solve this problem for me. and so i sold my 3gs after that, fearing i cant upgrade it again.
right now i'm using 4s in 5.0.1 and want to upgrade to 6.1.2, but afraid to do so bcause of what i experienced. help please...
