Upgrade , jailbreak and unlock iphone 3gs new bootrom

Hi there,
Currently my settings on the iphone are:
 - version 4.0 (8A293)
 - new bootrom
 - firmware modem : 05.13.04

I urgently need to upgrade it to version 5.1.1 (at least) because there are apps that don't run anymore on this version.

Is it safe to upgrade? Is it still possible to remain it unlocked ?

Can anyone show me a tutorial for that?!

Yes you can upgrade the Iphone 3gs which you are having right now.To do this it is better to get more details from nearest Apple store.They will help to upgrade to newer version.After upgrading it use permanent unlocking method and unlocked it.Once you unlocked your mobile it won't get deleted.But if you use temporary unlocking method to unlocked it,upgrade will delete the unlock.So you can get the remote unlocking service from the site http://www.mobile-unlocker.com/apple-iphone-3g/rs2wp9/ and unlock your mobile.It is a permanent unlocking method.

search " how to downgrade from ios6 to ios 5.1.1.. 
you will find some tutorials and finds which is easy for you and apply ....  hope you will find the solution... Tahnks
