These are instructions on how to install OpenSSH onto your iPhone via Installer. This tutorial has been updated to use Cydia instead of the discontinued Installer app. You can find the updated instructions here!.
To follow this tutorial you must have a jailbroken iPhone with BSD Subsystem installed.

Step One If you do not already have iClarified added to your list of installer sources please follow the tutorial here to add it.
Step Two Launch Installer by selecting its icon from your SpringBoard.
Step Three Press to select the Install tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step Four Press to select iClarified from the list of Categories
Step Five Press to select OpenSSH from the list of Packages.
Step Six Press the Install button at the top left of the screen.
Step Seven Press the large Install button that appears.
Step Eight Once the SSH installation has finished you will be notified that it may take 30-35 seconds for your first login.

You say the following : "this tutorial has been updated to use cydia instead of the discontinued installer app " installer was never discontinued. you just no longer get it automatically when you jailbreak. you can buy it for free from cydia in the system category.
