Apple has issued a statement on the decisive win in its patent infringement trial against Samsung.
We are grateful to the jury for their service and for investing the time to listen to our story and we were thrilled to be able to finally tell it. The mountain of evidence presented during the trail showed that Samsung's copying went far deeper than even we knew. The lawsuits between Apple and Samsung were about much more than patents or money. They were about values. At Apple, we value originality and innovation and pour our lives into making the best products on earth. We make these products to delight our customers, not for our competitors to flagrantly copy. We applaud the court for finding Samsung's behavior willful and for sending a loud and clear message that stealing isn't right.

They are not year behind they just release right stuff at right time, true Lte 4g is not even available everywhere yet, so is nfc half of the people dont use nfc, if they wanted to they can whip out something like nfc whenever they want but public just isnt ready yet. They wanna try to earn most money by putting least features in product until its absolutly needed. For example 4g- if they had already lte capable iphone 4s than there wouldnt be anything "main feature" to advertise for iphone5.

Sony did not sue because they either do not want to look bad or because they do not want to waste money for lawyers. Remember the OJ Simpson case? If you have enough money like Apple has, you can prove anything you want in any court! Besides, Sony did not patent their designs copied by Apple.

So apple won
I am sure Samsung will appeal and drag this for few years
Also is that mean apple can sue asus, motolora and any other companies with tables or touch screen phones?
Didn't Samsung claim apple copy iPhone from Sony?
I wonder why Sony hasn't sue apple yet!

"And boy did we patent it...""
I know this has been said several times today, but this really is a judgement for Steve. When a business partner slavishly copies the very work you are using their components to make it is beyond the pale.
Thermonuclear. I am curious what other effects this will have on Android or any eventual things to come out of that.
This one's for you Steve!
