Samsung Responds to Verdict: Apple's Win is a 'Loss for the American Consumer'

Samsung has responded to a U.S. trial verdict which found the company guilty of copying the iPhone to the tune of $1.05 billion.

"Today's verdict should not be viewed as a win for Apple, but as a loss for the American consumer. It will lead to fewer choices, less innovation, and potentially higher prices. It is unfortunate that patent law can be manipulated to give one company a monopoly over rectangles with rounded corners, or technology that is being improved every day by Samsung and other companies. Consumers have the right to choices, and they know what they are buying when they purchase Samsung products. This is not the final word in this case or in battles being waged in courts and tribunals around the world, some of which have already rejected many of Apple's claims. Samsung will continue to innovate and offer choices for the consumer."

Apple will never see any kind of money from the Samsung court battle they use all Samsung parts in their iPhones and this is just a media stunt to hype up the pre-release of the iPhone 5!

Apple sued Samsung for copying if apple really sued them because they wanted to narrow competition why haven't they sued HTC or Windows phone 8 Or SONY because those company's along with Apple are innovative and not fucking stealing ideas. Apple never said Samsung goto hell and stop making phones they said make your own shit. If you dot know shot and aren't educated don't try just cause you on this website doesn't mean your a tech savvy tech pro calm down #youaintaboutthatlife

Lol people know what they are buying when they buy Samsung? Lol about 1/3 of those customers thought they were buying and iPhone and ended up being very disappointed lol oh and I am using a galaxy note for a week review and I'm only on day 2 and I must say, it's is an absolute joke, I mean seeing as how Samsung lost over 1 billion copying apple they could've at least copied the key board and typing gestures

"Samsung will continue to innovate (copy) and offer choices (iPhone clones) to consumers." Blow it out your arse, Samsung. Sore loser! You've been found guilty by the very same jury you thought would uphold your copyist beliefs! And yes, I'm commenting using my iPhone. Suck my dick!
