The iPhone Dev-Team has announced an updated version of RedSn0w and an upcoming update to UltraSn0w for iOS 6 compatibility.

Version 0.9.15b3 fixes the redsn0w “error 2601” that Windows users were seeing using the Restore button. It also fixes a related Windows iTunes error 14 for stitched files. Note that if you have a baseband, you should probably avoid stitching and simply use redsn0w’s native Restore (not iTunes).

Those lucky recipients of new iPad minis and iPad4s on Friday can use this redsn0w to save your 6.0 blobs off to Cydia. First connect your new device and turn it on, then use redsn0w’s Extras->SHSH Blobs->New and point it at the 6.0 IPSW.

Expect an ultrasn0w compatibility update for iOS 6.0 by Friday (mostly useful for 3GS old-bootrom users who are currently enjoying the untethered 6.0 jailbreak!). Same baseband support as with 5.x.

Red sn0w is not working in my pc.. i want to jailbreak iphone 3gs ios 6.1.2 i Download all of versions... But when i want to Extars ios it gaving me this msg.. That IPSW is not supported by this version of reds0w... What should i do plzzzzzzzz help me...

@haroon: i have the same problem with you. even i've tried with ios 6.1.3 and still got the same message. i'm using RedSn0w 0.9.15b3 (Windows). Have you got a solution??

To jailbreak the 6.1.3 with the latest version of redsn0W, you actually ahve to use a previous .ipsw, and it will be tethered. This is what I had to do to jailbreak my iPhone4 gsm on 6.1.3. I believe the version I used to jailbreak was ipsw 6.0.1. I'll look for the place I read that at, but until then, I'm 90% sure that was the ipsw to use

I am currently on 5.0.1 which I jailbroke using this method a year ago. Now I would like to do it again just so I can "Factory Reset" but still keep jailbreak. The only option I found was to restore the phone via itunes and then jailbreak again. The problem with that is...restoring with itunes will give me the latest 6.1 OS which I don't want. Any advice??

ipsw is ios which you should download same firmware as ur iphone

I have 3GS, with ver- 4.0 (8A293) and 05.13.04 firmware, this Ph is already Jailbroken and Unlocked using with T-moble, But I want to update it to 5.1.1 without upgrading my firmware so that I can unlock it to keep using with T-mobile. I will appreciate any advice or suggestion. Thanks

i tryed to restore my iphone 3gs to ios5.1.1 but itunes sends me an error nr (14), and now my phone is stucked inrecovery mode ..even the latest redsnow could fix can anyone help me please

if u r stuck in restore mode press ur power button and home button at a time ull iphone will restart

i will not buy the Iphone 5 until dev team get the jailbreak out for iphone 5 its is totally useless this iphone 5 without the worlds favorite jailbreak ,without the jailbreak apple Iphones are nothing without dev teams love the passion you have for apple iphones i just stay put with my 3gs till then you rock dev team and geo hotz

I have been holding on purchasing an iPhone 5 since it came out because I prefer jailbroken devices. I am currently using a 4S on 5.1.1 jailbroken. My wife has an iPhone 5 but it is restrictive without the tweaks. It is even a hassle to put ringtones on. Please release the jailbreak or at least work on it. I wish I was a hacker like Geohot. Where is Geohot by the way?
