AT&T has announced that it will give customers $100 off any tablet purchase with a two year data contract.
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, AT&T* today announced it is offering a promotional discount to tablet customers. Beginning Friday, Nov. 9, customers will receive $100 off any tablet purchased at an AT&T company owned store or online at www.att.com or at selected agents or retailers with a two-year data plan agreement.
Tablet customers can choose from several qualifying data plan options, including adding a tablet to an AT&T Mobile Share plan for just $10 per month. With Mobile Share, customers share a single bucket of data – from 1GB up to 20GB – with other devices, including smartphones, tablets, gaming devices, and more.
The full range of tablet data plan options include: ● AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB ● AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB ● AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB ● AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB
what a huge ripoff.
save 100 now but be contractually obligated to keep service over 2 yrs which will cost at a minimum $220 (plus taxes and service fees!!)
Shared data doesn't mean you're paying $10 to tether. The $10 powers another cellular device (iPad with LTE for instance) and let's it pull from the same bucket of data that your phone uses. Nobody says you have to purchase Apple devices. Why is it Apple's fault they are successful? No need to hate. Moving to the shared plan with my family has actually saved over $100. Don't hate what you don't understand.

Yes, they will discount it $100 and them you'll end up pay them $800+ back over the course of 2 years.
Just turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hot spot and never pay these crazy data fees for your tablet!
Gotta outsmart AT&T!
There are better and smarter ways to spend money than just throwing it at the greedy wireless carriers.
You may enjoy your tablet with their service but will never be able to afford anything else if you keep wasting your money on stupid and unnecessary shit just to "live you life like there is no tomorrow". Good luck with that.
I don't see where it says iPads are excluded. I'm hopeful that the iPad mini will ultimately have a retina display. Hoping they set the price point a little high this round so that it doesn't change with the next version.
