I have the same problem. From what I understand is 7.1 on the ipad 4th gen and or iphone jailbreak will not work simply because of the 11d167 firmware. I could be wrong on this which I hope I am. If you know of something different from what I know. Please email me.

People really need a tutorial for this? Evasi0n tells you what to do as it's injecting the jailbreak, But I guess there is people that really don't know how to follow simple instructions though

Everyone on still on MacOs X Snow Leopard or lower do not even think about it. Evasion runs only on MacOx X 10.7 and up. I didn't read the read me before I updated my iPad and surprise surprise no jailbreak for me...

currently jailbroken on 6.1.2 ipad3. what's the newest ios I can upgrade to using Mac OSX 10.6.x. This latest evasion doesn't work for my OS. thanks

Works for me! Make sure you read all the instructions on evasi0n.com because they specially said no OTA installed iDevices.... Yup. Make sure you restore using iTunes, and make sure it's between the ...correct versions of iOS... and make sure it's an updated version of evasion, and also make sure that the download is not corrupted.

I figured it out. iPad 3, set up as a new iPad, then jailbreak, THEN restore from backup, THEN jailbreak again and it works

Evasi0n app quits on rootfs. No cydia on iPad

At step Fourteen evasi0n crashes and (shows modify rootfs, then quits) When I then click on the evasi0n icon (doesn't say Cydia), it just hangs on a white screen. Anyone else have that problem?

To be more clear of my situation: Ipad 2 wifi running ios 7.0.4 I am using a mac evasi0n 1.0.4 I have even erased my ipad. wifi on the iPad is on and connected.

I figured it out. iPad 3, set up as a new iPad, then jailbreak, THEN restore from backup, THEN jailbreak again and it works!

Ok ... am I missing something. Jailbreak went fine but when I "restore from backup" Cydia disappears.

Ipad 2 jailbreak is working however, after reboot it takes a long time i have to plug in the computer and it turns on to normal. Anyone has the same problem like me? Thank you jailbreak team to fix the boot reloop problem on ipad 2.

This is starting to suck. I bet they have no incentive to fix the iPad 2 jailbreak now that they're "no longer partners with Taig."

Ipad 2 wifi is reboot cycle I have to hold the home button to go to the recovery stage and restore using itunes to get back to normal without jailbreak. hope this will fix soon.

If your iPad2 is in a boot loop. Apple logo keeps popping up. Just hold down the power/sleep button until it turns off>plug in to your computer and hold power & home button for about 10 seconds>release power but keep holding home button until in recovery. You can also just try plugging it in to your PC with itunes up while in boot loop and hold home button until it goes into recovery. This worked for me several times yesterday.

The evaders team is working on the ipad 2 issue right now as well as disabling tiaG due to piracy issues. There is no files being uploaded to the internet and Saurik was working with a different jailbreak team which is why evaders released so early because they didn't want someone stealing credit for there hard work.

It was not because someone was stealing their work. They released so early and rushed a jailbreak that was not ready for prime time because if they didn't, they would lose out on hundreds of thousands of dollars by the Chinese company they partnered with. The Evasion team is nothing but a bunch of sellouts who distributed an application from a company known for stealing user data. On top of that the same application distributes pirated software just like installous. This jaibreak was bull**** and the Evad3rs team does not care about the end user or the jailbreak community, they only care about the $ they receive for releasing a jailbreak. I for one am very disappointed in all the developers i used to look up to.

same thing was happing to my iPad 2. I used a windows 8 system to restore to iOS 7 and it did the trick, its not in the cycle anymore. hoped this helped.
