Is Microsoft going the same way as Apple? I wasn't expecting Microsoft to change; why not just build another OS like Windows 7? Windows 10 feels like a mobile OS, whereas Windows 7 is a proper laptop/desktop operating system. Microsoft, why do people love Windows 7 so much?

Shady - October 1, 2014 at 10:06pm

I think windows 7 is the best but this one looks good mutli tasking

Nicholas Ryan Carroll - October 1, 2014 at 9:35pm

They should call it windows 9 not windows 10 who agrees with me

FBIvan - October 1, 2014 at 9:50pm

Thank god start menu is back, in windows 8 it was headache....

Nicholas Ryan Carroll - October 1, 2014 at 10:02pm

Why fblvan

Lol - October 1, 2014 at 4:12pm

This is more like Windows 8.2 not 10

LUbuntu - October 1, 2014 at 11:48am

"the best Windows yet" didn't they say that about 8, and Vista and ME ? and all the other versions in between ?

gamerscul9870 - October 1, 2014 at 12:42pm

They don't know when to give up and accept the truth about 7. 7 forever.

StewartG - October 1, 2014 at 10:43am

Was there a 9?

gamerscul9870 - October 1, 2014 at 10:58am

Yes. It failed miserably. come and go.

Gg2012 - October 1, 2014 at 10:21am

Why don't Microsoft copy the price of the Apple OSX ?? That would be a success, imagine an a 80% or more with that OS installed in the PC world.

KHILL - October 1, 2014 at 8:58am

it has OSX written all over it

SayingWhatEveryonesThinking - October 1, 2014 at 7:23am

This is more like Windows 8.2. Microsoft should focus on what works and keep trying to improve, because we all know what makes a successful operating system design.

Stolen From Linux - October 1, 2014 at 3:47am

don't get me wrong, i love my macbook but OSX stole all the features from Linux lol. Ubuntu has all the features osx has except hand over and probably all the integrated social media interaction that nobody uses.It had all these features before osx...

gamerscul9870 - October 1, 2014 at 10:58am

Linux copied Mac. Most of its style resembles it and the newer the versions, the quicker they will go to do it.

Nitro Junkie - October 1, 2014 at 12:58pm

How about you do a little more research before you say OSX or Apple copied Linux. The precursor to osx was NeXTSTEP which was developed at NeXT which Steve jobs owned and was later bought by apple when Steve jobs returned. The NeXTSTEP OS was released In 1988, and Linux in 1991. So you're actually wrong. Either way both are mostly UNIX based and written in the same code languages but OSX was really first. I'm not trying to start a who started what first or who copied who war like the various trolls on this site do, I just stating the facts.

Woz - October 1, 2014 at 4:49pm

But Windows came out in 1985. So that was first and Linux and Mac os copied Windows.

Rojan - October 5, 2014 at 11:07am

No! Apple's Lisa OS is the first windowed base OS from apple which is from 1983! You see? And also good to know that, at that time, Microsoft was a company which created office-like softwares for Apple computers and no Windows OS were existing!

mmm3 - October 1, 2014 at 1:49am

Most amazing thing is it will be released "Late 2015" Well then let us know about it in Aug or Sept 2015

Elephant in the room. - October 1, 2014 at 12:48am

Did anyone else notice that the 'multitask' feature is basically exposé on Mac?

Lol - October 1, 2014 at 12:47am

What happen to windows 9? Lol seems like they skipped at number

Ken - October 1, 2014 at 12:51am

Haha thought that was strange; maybe they want to catch up to Mac OS X.

zetaprime - October 1, 2014 at 1:07am

I was thinking the same thing. Is this windows 10 a joke, perhaps? I can't believe they would skip windows 9.

Wow - October 1, 2014 at 12:45am

I like the start menu but and multi tasking but eh some of those features like the multiple desktops is already on my Mac :/, sorry to say but windows seems to be copying more and more

gamerscul9870 - October 1, 2014 at 1:17am

And they mocked ipad for better multitasking. Go figure.

Woz - October 1, 2014 at 2:56am

Sorry but Mac copied that from Linux.

gamerscul9870 - October 1, 2014 at 3:00am

Mac copied Linux? They began in 1991 making the old school mac interface from the first Mac ever made.

Nitro Junkie - October 1, 2014 at 1:14pm

You're wrong Woz. The NeXTSTEP OS which was the precursor to OSX was developed at NeXT, which Steve Jobs founded, and then was released in 1988 on NeXT desktops computers. Linux was released in 1991. A lot of the features of OSX came from the NeXTSTEP OS which Steve jobs used to developer OSX after apple bought NeXT and Steve again became CEO. It's basically the same OS developed at NeXT but they changed the name. Do some actual research next time.

Jordan - October 1, 2014 at 12:45am

I love how more than half of the "new Features" were actually on windows 7 but removed on windows 8 just old features that should've never been removed in the first place.

Raul Menendez - October 1, 2014 at 12:44am

Meh Windows 7 is still the best
